I've been doing so much overtime at work lately that I've had next to no time to write. But  I've had a lot of time to think, which means I'm constantly coming up with new backstory for my characters.
I am the queen of unnecessary backstory. I know that writers are supposed to know everything about their characters, but, well, there's probably a line somewhere. I keep trying to write the next chapter of Chemistry, but then I get distracted by something that a character brings up. For example, James will say something about what life was like with Garen at Patton, and then the next thing I know, I'm suddenly writing that scene, which would I guess be part of Strange Bedfellows.
Or I'll be writing normally, minding my own business, tra la la, and then suddenly I decide I'm going to write a scene that takes place two years in the future. Which I obviously can't post because, you know, spoilers.
I also keep distracting myself with creating soundtracks, because I'm a dickweed. I'm going to be adding a new tab to the side for soundtracks, just because I think it'd make sense for a story where the characters rely so heavily on music to have a soundtrack. I might divide it into subsections... Chemistry & Listen Closely, Strange Bedfellows, Head.
